Suicide Blast Kills NATO Soldier, Eight Civilians

A Taliban suicide bomber rammed an explosives-packed van into a NATO military patrol in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar, killing one soldier and eight civilians.
The soldier’s nationality was not given, but most of the troops in the convoy were American.
