AT&T; Sues Brokers in Alleged Fraud Scheme

San Antonio-based AT&T; Inc. sued data brokers in California two weeks after filing a similar case in Texas claiming that the individuals got unauthorized access to customer account information.
A complaint filed in San Francisco federal court seeks to identify brokers who set up online billing accounts using customers’ identities to gain access to as many as 2,500 calling histories and other confidential data.
