A peak around the corner

THEIR cruise ship was leaving Skagway, Alaska, when Piyush “Bobby” Mehrotra’s wife, Danube, pointed out the lighthouse slipping past. He got this shot with his Nikon Coolpix 5700. Mehrotra, an engineer in Chandler, Ariz., likes the way this image reveals the scale of the mountains. “There’s a two-story lighthouse -- a large structure -- and then these giant mountains.”
