Man Killed in Crash Following Lovers’ Spat

A man died Sunday after crashing his car into a tree following a fight with his girlfriend, authorities said.
The man reportedly got into an argument with his girlfriend at a home on Silver Strand and punched a hole through a window before driving off, said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Larry Abbott.
Before deputies responded, the man drove off at about 80 mph in a Honda that crashed into a tree near Golden Lantern and Jeremiah Drive at 4:51 a.m., Abbott said.
