Man Held in Pawning of Band Instruments

A man hired to clean band instruments for rural elementary school districts has been arrested on suspicion of pawning dozens of trombones, trumpets and flutes. Joseph Rogers, 42, is accused of pawning instruments from school districts in Kingsburg in Fresno County. He was also hired by the Traver school district, where officials reported missing instruments to sheriff’s officials Sept. 1.
