Cisco lures exec from Motorola

Cisco Systems Inc., maker of computer-networking equipment, hired Padmasree Warrior away from Motorola Inc. as its new chief technology officer, filling a job that was vacant for two years. Warrior, 47, will report to Chief Executive John Chambers, San Jose-based Cisco said.
Warrior succeeds Charlie Giancarlo, who became Cisco’s chief development officer in July 2005.
