Yahoo agrees to buy Rivals.com

Hoping to deepen its appeal to hard-core sports fans, Yahoo Inc. has agreed to buy Rivals.com, a website that provides extensive coverage of collegiate athletics.
Financial terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed. It is the first deal by Yahoo since co-founder Jerry Yang replaced Terry Semel as chef executive this week.
