Equality policy sparks protest

Dozens of protesters were injured in clashes with police during a demonstration against a new policy advocating more rights for women.
The clashes erupted after Friday prayers in front of the national mosque in the capital, Dhaka.
The interim government last month announced a policy that would help give women equal property rights and better access to jobs and education. It is not legally binding, and is meant to be a guideline for the next parliament to use in forming legislation.
