Gap chief took in $6.27 million

Gap Inc. said Chief Executive Glenn Murphy’s total compensation was $6.27 million in 2007 after he spent only five months in the position that year.
The compensation included a salary of $755,769, a bonus of $2.14 million and stock and option awards valued at 3.01 million, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
