Chicago 10-8, at Atlanta 2-0: The Cubs swept a road doubleheader for the first time since 1992. Geovany Soto and Jim Edmonds homered in the first game. In the second game, Rich Harden (2-1) gave up only two hits.
St. Louis 6, at Florida 4: Troy Glaus went four for four and Jason LaRue hit a go-ahead double in the seventh.
New York 12, at Washington 0: John Maine (10-7) gave up one hit in five innings, striking out six.
at Pittsburgh 5, Cincinnati 2: Paul Maholm pitched eight innings and Jason Michaels and Brandon Moss homered to lead the Pirates.
Colorado 6, at Arizona 5: Brad Hawpe hit a tiebreaking, two-run homer in the eighth inning and Ian Stewart and Clint Barmes also homered for the Rockies.
at Houston 6, San Francisco 2: The Astros scored six times in the bizarre sixth inning, during which the Giants tied a major league record by hitting three batters.
Milwaukee 7, at San Diego 1: CC Sabathia (7-0) remained perfect with the Brewers.
at Dodgers 7, Philadelphia 6: Nomar Garciaparra hit a walk-off homer for the victory.
