Driver dies after truck hits divider

A man died early Thursday after his truck hit a concrete divider on Superior Avenue, just north of Coast Highway, a coroner’s official said.
Brian Thomas Campos, 22, died from “major traumatic injuries” sustained after the single-vehicle high-speed crash about 1:20 a.m., said Dan Aikin, a supervising deputy Orange County coroner.
Campos apparently lost control of his 1974 Ford Bronco. He was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, said Newport Beach Police Sgt. Evan Sailor.
