Bill Clinton is cut from civil lawsuit

A judge says the time has passed for a businessman to bring a lawsuit against President Clinton over an alleged business dealing.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz on Thursday dismissed Clinton as a defendant in a civil suit filed in 2003 by businessman and one-time Clinton fundraiser Peter F. Paul. Munoz said the statute of limitations had run out on Paul’s claims.
Paul alleged that Clinton interfered with his business dealings with a Japanese businessman, which led to the collapse of Stan Lee Media, a company started with comic book legend Stan Lee.
Paul’s attorney said her client didn’t learn of Clinton’s actions until later, and the statute of limitations should be extended because Paul was incarcerated for part of that time on stock fraud charges.
