VS. EDMONTON
Time: 7:30.
On the air: TV: Fox Sports West; Radio: 1150.
Where: Staples Center.
Records: Kings 10-11-3, Oilers 11-11-2.
Record vs. Oilers (2007-08): 1-0-0.
Update: Erik Ersberg will start in goal for the Kings, who squandered leads in losing their last two games to Toronto and Phoenix. Defenseman Denis Gauthier (bruised foot) is possible. Center Brad Richardson (cut foot) didn’t practice Thursday and his status is uncertain. The Oilers, coming off a solid 5-2 victory over Dallas on Wednesday, are only 3-5-1 since they last won consecutive games. Sam Gagner, a standout rookie last season, has struggled and has only one goal and six points. Forward Robert Nilsson is out because of a shoulder injury. Rob Schremp took his place on the Kid Line with Gagner and Andrew Cogliano and earned an assist on Wednesday.
