Much more than books, DVDs
I am 65 and have been using public libraries my entire life (“More people checking out the library to save on books, DVDs,” Dec. 3).
I can still recall my excitement when my mother took me into the Los Angeles Public Library to choose my first book. I consider libraries to be my home away from home, and the relationships I have developed with the librarians at my local branches are extremely significant.
Selecting books or DVDs are just two of the myriad opportunities offered: I consider the online services my best friends. No longer are books that I have returned listed as overdue, and there is rarely a question InfoNow has been unable to answer.
