* Vancouver 4, at St. Louis 3 (SO): Daniel Sedin (one goal, two assists) and Henrik Sedin (one goal, one assist) led the way and Alex Edler decided a shootout for the Canucks.

* N.Y. Islanders 3, at Ottawa 1: Marc-Andre Bergeron got his second power-play goal of the game early in the third period in the Islanders’ first victory at Ottawa since March 15, 2003.

* at Edmonton 2, Calgary 1: Ales Hemsky and Shawn Horcoff each had a goal and an assist and the Oilers stretched their winning streak to a season-high four games.

* Philadelphia 6, at Washington 4: Mike Knuble had his first two-goal game of the season in the Flyers’ seventh victory in their last nine games. The Flyers led, 4-1, at one point.

* Colorado 4, at Florida 3 (SO): Milan Hejduk scored the winning goal in the shootout. Andrew Brunette had two goals for Colorado, which dealt Florida its sixth straight home loss.

* Chicago 3, at Nashville 2 (SO): Patrick Sharp scored a second-period goal and then netted the winner in the shootout, helping the Blackhawks end an eight-game losing streak.

* at Ducks 4, San Jose 3 (OT): Francois Beauchemin scored 33 seconds into overtime to cap a comeback from a 3-1 deficit.
