Intel launches faster processor

Intel Corp. launched a faster version of its Centrino processor, helping laptops use less power yet show high-definition video.
Computers with the new package of chips, called Centrino II, are being sold by manufacturers including Hewlett-Packard Co. The Centrino line has fueled Intel’s growth since being introduced in 2003.
Shares of the Santa Clara, Calif., company fell 17 cents to $20.47.
