New treasures in an old city

Perfect timing! Four days after returning from there, we find Susan Spano’s article on her stay in Venice, Italy. [“Veni, Vidi, Venice,” July 13].

We also stayed far from the long lines and crowds at St. Mark’s Square in a little hotel where Via Garabaldi ends at the waterfront.

There always seems to be something old in Venice waiting to be newly discovered.
