Audience size

I ENJOYED the article regarding the age of the audiences for classical music. I have season tickets to the Hollywood Bowl and Disney Hall and, putting aside the age issue, there has been a definite shrinking of the audience size on classical music nights.
[Los Angeles Philharmonic Assn. President Deborah] Borda’s comment hides the fact that the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion was much larger than the Disney Hall so her “92%” attendance represents a lower number of people than in earlier years. Plus, the Bowl’s classic music attendance numbers are certainly much lower than 10 to 15 years ago.
