Preschool pop for adults; also, vampires

Me, you and everyone we know are talking about: “Yo Gabba Gabba!” It’s hard to tell who is more obsessed with the Aquabats-created Nick Jr. show for tots: the preschoolers or their parents. “Party in My Tummy” is a hit song among all demographics. So it’s safe to assume “The Dancey Dance Bunch,” the first CD of music from the series, will tear up the charts in a way no other disc for the under-3-year-old set has. (Tuesday)
Will Donnie talk up: “Max Payne”? While Mark Wahlberg gets to shoot up a boatload of bad guys in the big-screen adaptation of the video game “Max Payne,” older brother Donnie will be “Hangin’ Tough” on tour with the reunited New Kids on the Block. (Donnie, we remember your fine work in “The Sixth Sense” and “Boomtown.” Sometimes life isn’t fair.) (Friday)
Brace yourself for all the talk about: “Twilight.” Or dive in. For the uninitiated, it shouldn’t take more than a weekend to get through author Stephenie Meyer’s four breezy books -- out this week in a boxed collector’s set -- about the romance between clumsy high school student Bella and her pale-but-”dazzling” 107-year-old vampire suitor, Edward. (Wednesday)
Believe it or not, there are people already talking about: Christmas music. And I’m not even talking about the folks who program radio station KOST 103.5. Music stores are getting their first shipments of yuletide fare this week, among them the new offering “Elvis Presley Christmas Duet,” the King’s classics reinterpreted by country stars like Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood and LeAnn Rimes. (Tuesday)
When the new fall shows let you down, move to VH1 where now you can talk about: “Rock of Love Girls: Charm School.” Sharon Osbourne takes the Mo’Nique role as etiquette coach in the “Rock of Love” spinoff “Charm School.” Osbourne will teach the former Bret Michaels bachelorettes to be “prim and proper” and, likely, scream rapid-fire four-letter epithets with a British accent.
