Los Angeles police have arrested a man who allegedly shot an unarmed security guard at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant late Saturday, authorities said.
The guard had spotted the man, who is in his 20s and has a Mohawk hairstyle, sitting on a table at the restaurant at 1090 N. Western Ave. in violation of restaurant policy, according to police reports.
The 50-year-old guard confronted the man, who allegedly shot him in the buttocks and fled, LAPD Officer Kate Lopez said.
The guard, whose name had not been released Sunday, was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Lopez said.
Police were called to the restaurant and questioned the man’s girlfriend, who directed them to his house, where they found him shaving off his Mohawk, according to police reports.
Officers arrested the man, whose name has not been released, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the reports.
