‘The Bear’

It’s karmically satisfying to report that the ex-Silent Theater at 611 N. Fairfax, once home to the oldest of films, has been reborn as the Cinefamily, showcasing perhaps the most cutting edge repertory screenings around. On Sunday at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., the theater will host screenings of Jean-Jacques Annaud’s nearly dialogueless 1988 “The Bear,” starring that prince of animal actors, the late Bart the Bear, and accompanied by a live score by L.A.-based No Age, a group described as “a world-renowned experimental noise pop duo.” Kids, don’t try this at home.
