Unical Aviation moving to a bigger space in City of Industry

Unical Aviation Inc. agreed to move its headquarters from Irwindale to City of Industry, signing what brokers say is the largest industrial property lease in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
The aircraft parts supplier has rented 467,199 square feet in a lease valued at $20.6 million from owners Cardinal Capital Partners and Benenson Capital Partners, according to brokerage Colliers International.
The site was formerly occupied by retailer Circuit City. Unical, which plans to move next summer, has only 127,000 square feet in Irwindale.
Its expansion in a tough economy “is a testament to the long-term viability of the company,” broker Steven Bellitti of Colliers said.
