The owner of a towing company convicted of threatening a Bell Gardens City Council member has been sentenced to jail, authorities said Friday.
Shahram Ali Shayesteh, 42, was convicted in January of threatening Councilman Daniel Crespo two years ago, district attorney’s spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephen Marcus sentenced Shayesteh on Wednesday to 360 days in jail.
