Big 12: No. 2 Texas capitalizes on Colorado blunders to win, 38-14

at No. 2 Texas 38, Colorado 14: Earl Thomas returned an interception 92 yards for a touchdown and Ben Wells recovered a blocked punt for another score to help the Longhorns (5-0 overall, 2-0 in Big 12 Conference) pull away from the Buffaloes (1-4, 0-1) in the second half. Jordan Shipley returned a punt for a touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Longhorns. Colt McCoy completed 32 of 39 passes for 265 yards with one touchdown and one interception for Texas, whose 313 yards was its lowest output this season and 200 yards below its average.
No. 15 Oklahoma State 36, at Texas A&M; 31: Zac Robinson completed 14 of 25 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns and the Cowboys (4-1, 1-0) won at Kyle Field for only the second time since 1983. Jerrod Johnson threw three touchdown passes for the Aggies (3-2, 0-1) and set a Big 12 record by extending his streak of consecutive passes without an interception to 228.
at No. 16 Kansas 41, Iowa State 36: Todd Reesing threw for 442 yards and four touchdowns, and the Jayhawks (5-0, 1-0) rallied past the Cyclones (3-3, 0-2), who took a 30-27 lead behind Austen Arnaud and Alexander Robinson, who rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Arnaud passed for 293 yards and two touchdowns.
at Texas Tech 66, Kansas State 14: Steven Sheffield threw for 490 yards and seven touchdowns in his first career start, the second time this season that a Red Raiders (4-2, 1-1) quarterback had seven passing touchdowns. The Wildcats (3-3, 1-1) got into Texas Tech territory only once in the first half.
