The week ahead for the Angels

Angels
Friday through Sunday: Yankees at Angel Stadium
We still think the Angels should have made a four-for-one trade to get Miguel Cabrera three winters ago. The Tigers did a six-for-two trade to get Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis, then awarded Willis a three-year, $29-million extension, curious in that his earned-run average and walks had gone up for three consecutive years, and his strikeouts had gone down. He couldn’t throw a strike in Detroit, and he has one victory in 16 starts for the Tigers, including none in two starts this year. He’ll start against the Angels on Tuesday, but the Tigers might release him if he doesn’t deliver soon.
