Arizona State edges Arizona to move within a half-game of Pac-10 lead

Arizona State 73, at Arizona 69 -- Ty Abbott scored 28 points, two shy of his career high, and the Sun Devils shot 67% in the second half in moving to within half a game of first-place California in the conference.
The Sun Devils (19-8, 9-5) have won three games in a row and five of six, and the Wildcats (13-13, 7-7) dropped their second in a row at home and lost for the fourth time in five games overall.
Rihards Kuksiks had 17 points and Arizona State shot 52% overall after shooting 30% in its 77-58 home loss to Arizona on Jan. 23. The Sun Devils have won three straight games in Tucson for the first time since 1983.
Nic Wise scored 18 points for Arizona.
