The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals will consider whether to reverse the injunction halting Arizona’s immigration law. That decision can be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Regardless of the outcome, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton will hear a trial on SB 1070 and decide whether to make her injunction permanent or lift it. That ruling will be appealed to the 9th circuit, and then the U.S. Supreme Court. The process could take several years.
