After sending eight players to the Olympics and returning with seven medals, the Ducks have gone 0-3-1 since the break and been outscored, 17-8. Coach Randy Carlyle canceled a scheduled practice Wednesday to give his players a breather before returning to the ice Thursday, but their playoff hopes are dim with 16 games to go. Nashville, one of the teams they’re chasing, is playing the second of back-to-back games after taking on San Jose on Thursday.
