Angels pitchers get to hit for the first time this season when the team opens interleague play Friday in St. Louis. And if they need an example of how it’s done, all they have to do is break out the video of what happened last time they played at Busch Stadium, when Albert Pujols hit three home runs and drove in seven runs in three games. Joel Pineiro, who won 15 games for the Cardinals last season, is scheduled to start Friday’s opener against his former teammates. Speaking of facing former teammates, the Angels open the week in Texas against Vladimir Guerrero, who is on pace for his best season since 2004, when he won the American League MVP award with the Angels.
