Update: When the teams met in a May 8 exhibition game at Long Beach State, the Silver Stars won, 86-77. During that game, however, the Sparks were without star forward Candace Parker and the Silver Stars were without Becky Hammon, Sophia Young and first-round draft pick Jayne Appel. The Sparks are dealing with two injuries: Ticha Penicheiro’s hurt Achilles’ tendon and Marie Ferdinand-Harris’ injured knee.
