Wait time for iPhone 5 online orders now 2 to 4 days

If you’re looking to get an iPhone 5, you can now order it from Apple.com and receive it in two to four days, a far cry from a two-week wait when it launched in September.
As pointed out by 9 to 5 Mac, shipping wait times for Apple.com orders of the iPhone 5 have normalized. A quick glance at the iPhone 5 order page shows all storage sizes for the device, regardless of color, are available for delivery within a few days.
That’s a much faster wait time than many people have had to deal with since the phone launched more than two months ago.
QUIZ: What set the Internet on fire in 2012?
Just one hour after pre-orders for the device began on Sept. 14, the flagship Apple product sold out and the company said the phones wouldn’t ship for at least two weeks.
The shorter wait times could give the Cupertino-based company an advantage over Google, its bitter rival.
The 8 GB Nexus 4, Google’s flagship phone, is completely sold out, and the company said new orders of a 16 GB version of the phone won’t be delivered until after Christmas.
