Former NFL defensive back turned television analyst Eric Davis has sold his estate in Soquel, an inland area east of Capitola, for $2.76 million.
He bought the house in 2005 for $3.5 million, records show.
Built in 2003, the gated Mediterranean-style house sits at the end of a long driveway with courtyard entry and circular motor court. Views take in the surrounding mountains and Monterey Bay.
Within the 6,084 square feet of living space are formal living and dining rooms, a center-island kitchen, a wood-paneled office and a recreation room/gym. Limestone floors, cathedral-style ceilings, colorful wallpaper and industrial-style pendant lighting are among the interior details.
A total of four bedrooms and five bathrooms includes a master suite complete with a curved-glass steam shower, soaking tub and walk-in closet. There are four fireplaces in all.
Outdoors, grounds of about three acres include a patio, a built-in barbecue and a trio of attached garages. A wide terrace patio extends off the second story of the home.
