Talent manager and producer Howard Lapides is looking to cut ties in the San Fernando Valley. His Encino ranch home, set above the city and near the reservoir, is on the market for $1.899 million.
Past a front porch, the 1960s home opens to 3,323 square feet of hardwood-lined interiors. Brick fireplaces are found in the living room and family room. There’s also a wet bar, a dining area and a kitchen with granite countertops and a double oven across a single story.
Elsewhere are five bedrooms and 2.75 bathrooms, including a master suite with a walk-in closet and direct access to the backyard.
Out there, a covered patio extends to a swimming pool and spa. Built-in bench seating surrounds a fire pit, taking in dramatic views of the city below.
On the film side, Lapides got his start producing the Tom Green films “Freddy Got Fingered” and “Stealing Harvard.” His small-screen credits include “The Man Show,” “Sober House” and “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.”
Boghos Kocar of Pinnacle Estate Properties holds the listing.
