Kevin Durant’s former penthouse looks to make a splash in Miami

Atop a 63-story skyscraper in downtown Miami, a furnished penthouse once owned by NBA star Kevin Durant is now on the market for $3.6 million.

The posh condo turned into a wise investment for the former MVP. After shelling out $1.825 million for the home in 2011, he sold it four years later for $3.45 million, the Los Angeles Times previously reported.

Stocked with designer furniture, the home holds 3,793 square feet of sleek, whitewashed living spaces. A private elevator enters the space, which takes in sweeping skyline views through walls of windows.

In the main area, glass floors connect a living room to a double-island kitchen with white lacquer cabinetry. Other highlights include a chandelier-topped dining area, movie theater and expansive terrace for entertaining.

The spacious master suite expands to a terrace of its own. It’s one of three bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

Built in 2008, the residential complex offers amenities such as a pool, spa, club, gym and valet.

Durant, who joined the Golden State Warriors three years ago as a free agent, has won two championships with the squad and was named NBA Finals MVP in 2017 and 2018. Other accolades for the 30-year-old Washington, D.C. native include Rookie of the Year and 10 NBA All-Star nods.

Since selling the penthouse, Durant has made waves on the opposite coast. Last year, the superstar forward paid $12.05 million for an oceanfront home in Malibu.
