Patrick Marleau, the veteran left wing for the San Jose Sharks, has sold his home in Saratoga for $4.1 million.
Set at the end of a cul-de-sac, the custom Mediterranean features large formal areas with detailed molding, floor-to-ceiling windows and a wood-paneled office. The 5,726 square feet of living space includes a formal living room, a dining room with a wet bar, a chef’s kitchen, six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
Among features is a second master suite complete with a full bathroom and sauna. A bonus/game room sports a circular wet bar.
Outdoors, grounds of about a third of an acre include a pool and spa, a gazebo and an outdoor kitchen.
Marleau and his wife, Christina, purchased the Santa Clara County property in 2006, public records show. The home came on the market in August at $4.295 million.
Jerry Houston of Coldwell Banker, Los Gatos, was the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Agent. Joanna I-Han Hsu of Intero Real Estate services represented the buyer in the sale.
Marleau, 35, is in the first year of a three-year, $20-million extension he signed last January. The three-time NHL All-Star has spent his entire 17-year career with Sharks.
He owns other property in the Bay Area.
