Hollywood Headlines: A crazy week in review

Fans may have flocked to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 release a month ago, but not everyone was as happy as this guy in the gaming industry. Industry stalwart Daily Variety got a new editor, Leo Wolinsky, familiar to L.A. Times readers for his 31 years of service to the paper in varying roles. Alexa Ray Joel (right, with mom Christie Brinkley) made headlines last weekend when she tried overdosing on pills after a breakup with her boyfriend Jimmy Riot. It turns out the pills were actually a homeopathic anti-inflammatory with ingredients like echinacea and St. John’s wort. What do supermodel Gisele Bundchen, Hugh Hefner‘s ex-girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson and “18 Kids and Counting” star Michelle Duggar have in common? Babies, of course. The three women all welcomed bundles of joy this week. Bundchen and Tom Brady welcomed a little boy in Boston, while Wilkinson and Hank Baskett did the same in Indiana. Meanwhile, Duggar delivered her little girl Josie Brooklyn (baby 19) three months premature in Arkansas.
