SUNDAY
Make sure to watch the “18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards” — because if there were no actors, most movies and TV shows would be little more than 30 to 120 minutes of sets and scenery, and maybe a little music. (TBS, 5 p.m.; TNT, 5 and 7 p.m.)
For a pastime famously dubbed “the sport of kings,” horse racing certainly attracts its share of lowlifes, and Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman plays one of them in “Luck,” a gritty new drama from Michael Mann and “Deadwood’s” David Milch. (HBO, 9 p.m.)
MONDAY
You are cordially invited to the wedding of Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and Prince Louis (Hugo Becker) as “Gossip Girl” celebrates its 100th episode. It should be a lovely — wait a minute! What’s Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) doing here? (KTLA, 8 p.m.)
TUESDAY
Perhaps in hope that some of his guest’s “Sexiest Man Alive” mojo might rub off on him, host James Lipton chats up super-suave Golden Globe and Oscar winner George Clooney, above, on a new edition of “Inside the Actors Studio.” (Bravo, 7 p.m.)
WEDNESDAY
You can’t keep a daytime diva down: Susan Lucci, below, legendary star of the now-canceled soap “All My Children,” once again guest stars as herself on a return visit to “Hot in Cleveland.” Pine Valley never seemed so far away. (TV Land, 10 p.m.)
THURSDAY
Given his decades-long status as a pop-culture icon, it’s easy to forget that Elton John is, first and foremost, a musician. The “Rocket Man’s” recent collaboration with soulful Southern rocker Leon Russell is documented in “The Union.” (HBO, 9 p.m.)
FRIDAY
There are comics, and there are comics’ comics … and then there’s “Paul Mooney: The Godfather of Comedy.” The veteran funnyman tells it like it is, the way he always does, when he holds court in Atlanta in this 90-minute stand-up special. (Showtime, 9 p.m.)
SATURDAY
Oh, Uncle Jesse, how could you? “Full House’s” John Stamos plays a small-town minister suspected in the deaths of two of his flock in the new made-for-cable mystery, “Secrets of Eden.” “Breaking Bad’s” Anna Gunn also stars. (Lifetime, 8 and 10 p.m.)
