The Beastie Boys’ Ad Rock to gig at Largo with Bridget Everett

Adam Horovitz, known the world over as Ad Rock of the Beastie Boys, will perform at Largo at the Coronet on Dec. 2. The musician will appear as part of what the venue describes as “a great night of music and comedy on Largo’s intimate stage,” along with “friends and NYC sensation Bridget Everett and the Tender Moments.”

Horovitz returns for one of his first public performances since the death of longtime friend and bandmate Adam Yauch, who succumbed to cancer in May. The identity of the “friends” listed as performing with Ad Rock is to be determined, but you can be certain it will be a typically varied Largo evening. Horovitz and the other Beasties lived in L.A. during much of the 1990s (their label/magazine Grand Royal had offices in Atwater Village) so he’s got a lot of connections here.

For her part, Everett is a raunchy, over-the-top cabaret/karaoke singer and comic known for her uncensored gigs, including the recent “Boob Song” (warning: link contains profanity), which was broadcast (with Ad Rock DJing) on HBO Canada earlier this year.

Largo’s a tiny theater, so assume these tickets will be gone promptly.
