Andrew W.K. to jolt David Blaine with electric keyboard solo

Give credit to the virtuoso party starter Andrew W.K. for breaking new ground in charging up his audience.
The pop-metal celebrant (and avant-garde classical pianist!) is teaming with illusionist David Blaine for “Electrified,” a New York show on Sunday where Blaine will submit himself to various electrical tortures over three days.
The centerpiece will be when Andrew W.K. takes to a specially rigged keyboard attached to a Tesla coil that, when W.K. plays a solo, will send one million volts of juice through Blaine’s body. The event will stream live on YouTube and seems at minimum intriguing, assuming Blaine isn’t actually just getting ready to die.
In a statement on his website, Andrew W.K. wrote, “This is absolutely a once in a lifetime musical experience and probably the most dangerous musical instrument ever created! . . . I’m absolutely electrified and terrified by the opportunity to play a keyboard solo with so much energy, and to use this incredibly powerful device to send a musical surge through David’s brain!”
Needless to say, replicating this at home is not advisable, but surely, Andrew W.K.’s vast catalog can provide other inspiration for partying.
