Beauty and the Beast The complications of married life plague Cat and Vincent (Kristin Kreuk, Jay Ryan) as they evade beast hunters and other pursuers. Nina Lisandrello, Austin Basis and Nicole Gale Anderson also star. 9 p.m. KTLA
Greatest Hits This new episode features songs from 2000 to 2005 and performances by Lee Ann Womack, Little Big Town, Fifth Harmony and Kelsea Ballerini. 9 p.m. ABC
Ripper Street As this Victorian procedural drama returns for a new season, recently promoted Det. Inspector Drake (Jerome Flynn) is called to investigate a dockside murder that may be an anti-Muslim hate crime. Matthew Macfadyen and Adam Rothenberg also star. 10 p.m. BBC America
Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle On each night of this four-episode event (airing Thursday through Sunday) Jeff Ross welcomes comics to the stage of the esteemed Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. A panel of celebrity judges decides each night’s winner and the finalists face off in next Sunday’s finale. David Spade and Kevin Hart are guest judges the first night. 10 p.m. Comedy Central
Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll Gigi (Elizabeth GIlles) helps Ava (Elaine Hendrix) prepare for her solo debut while Johnny (Denis Leary) is somewhat supportive. 10 p.m. FX
SPECIALS
Democratic National Convention C-SPAN begins its final day of coverage with a preview of scheduled events, programs and speeches, (8 a.m.), followed by live coverage (1:30 p.m.). Cable news channels, including CNBC, CNN, Fox Business, Fox News, Bloomberg and MSNBC, will incorporate coverage into their regular programming and as breaking news. Hillary Clinton’s prime-time acceptance speech will be included in special programming on PBS (5 p.m.); CBS, NBC, KTLA, ABC and Fox (7 p.m.).
