More than 60,000 visitors are expected to converge on Palm Springs for this year’s annual Modernism Week, running Feb. 11 through 21.
That means some events, such as popular tours of the A. Quincy Jones-designed Sunnylands and Albert Frey’s hillside Frey House II, are selling out.
There is still plenty to choose from, however, including neighborhood home tours, the Christopher Kennedy show house, double-decker architectural bus tours, films, panels on architect Joseph Eichler, “Mad Men” and designer Vladimir Kagan, a series of events honoring the work of architect William Krisel, parties and the Modernism Show & Sale at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
