Season lineups for the Greek and Gibson
The Greek Theatre’s 2008 season is highlighted by several programs delving into American roots music -- notably the Grammy Award-winning duo of Robert Plant and Alison Krauss for two nights -- and reaching an apex with a relatively rare local performance by Dolly Parton.
Meanwhile, seminal jazz fusion ensemble Return to Forever, reunited with the classic lineup of Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White, tops the Gibson Amphitheatre stage along with the facility’s perennial cavalcade of top Latin acts such as Pepe Aguilar, Ana Gabriel and Vicente Fernandez. And, as always, the season will finish with Brian Setzer’s Christmas show.
Season subscription sales for both venues begin today, with an order deadline of March 25.
