Porn proper: Starred as “Stud” in the 1970 low-budget X-rated film, “The Party at Kitty and Stud’s,” made in 1970, when the New York actor was unknown and desperate for work. He was paid $200 for two days work in the role that required him to strip nude on camera.
Mainstream: Nominated for two Academy Awards for writing and starring in “Rocky.” The movie was a critical and box office smash. Downside: He didn’t win.
