Where Have You Been Lately?

I’m from Vienna. I try to go every year. In May I took my 12-year-old daughter Lilly. We stayed with my dad and stepmother. My father has a cottage in the Vienna Woods, about an hour from Vienna. The area is called Gloggnitz. We spent a few days and took long hikes. That time of year there are baby farm animals around, which was great for my daughter. In Vienna we went to the Belvedere. It’s a castle. It’s huge, and there’s a good art collection. They have Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Edvard Munch.
Discovery: There is a little hill on the outskirts of Vienna called Kahlenberg. At the top they have a restaurant that serves the best pastries and ice coffee. And they have a little petting zoo up there. You have to walk there. But it’s a leisurely walk.
