Shirley Kiley of Los Angeles was touring New Zealand with husband Michael in November when, on the drive from Milford Sound to Queenstown on the South Island, they encountered this spirited fellow.

Says Shirley: “I went over to take a photograph and, like most children, when asked to pose he stuck out his tongue.”
