A Paris-bound Air France flight that departed from San Francisco was forced to land in Canada on Monday night after an “anonymous threat,” the airline said.
Flight 83 departed from San Francisco International Airport about 3 p.m. Pacific time and landed in Montreal “as a precaution,” according to the airline.
Authorities in Canada were to conduct an inspection of the plane.
In November, two Paris-bound Air France flights that took off from the U.S. were diverted because of bomb threats. The flights resumed their course after the threat was deemed to be unfounded.
