Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near West Bishop, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Tuesday evening 17 miles from West Bishop, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:08 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 5.0 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 74 miles from Clovis, 74 miles from Sanger and 77 miles from Reedley.
In the last 10 days, there had been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
