LAFD snuffs out brush fire in El Sereno

Los Angeles Fire Department air and ground crews quickly knocked down a six-acre brush fire in El Sereno on Friday afternoon.
The blaze, which was reported just before 1 p.m., burned uphill in medium grass, near North Mission Road and North Soto Street.
City fire units with assistance from Los Angeles County Fire Department camp crews extinguished the fire in just over an hour.
No structures were threatened, and no injuries were reported.
