Authorities are searching for the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Hollywood early Sunday, Los Angeles police said.
Passersby called police after seeing the body of the male victim lying in the middle of Ivar Avenue, just south of Hollywood Boulevard, about 4:30 a.m., said Officer Robert Kim.
The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, Kim said.
The driver remains at large.
“It appears it was related to a hit-and-run traffic collision,” Kim said.
