Memorial service set for Harriet Benjamin

A memorial service for Harriet Benjamin, whose cancer battle inspired the creation of the Wellness Community support network for cancer patients and their families, will be held at 2 p.m. May 27 at Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles. Reservations should be made by calling Jackie Korman at (818) 606-0049.
Benjamin, whose husband, Harold, founded the Wellness Community in Santa Monica in 1982, died of lung cancer April 7 at her Marina del Rey home. She was 85.
